Say what y'all want, Johnson does a great job
What did you lot dearest all-time about The Politically Incorrect Guide to the South (and Why information technology Will Ascension Again)?
I was pleased to come across some very positive reviews from the North East on this title, and very disappointed to see the negative review from my home state of SC (most likely from a Westward.J. Cash fan). Stated, I purchased the book and enjoyed the outset chapter immensely. Having grown up in the culture, Johnson nailed it down solid in that chapter. Also, having to have spent a fair amount of time in NY and NJ, he also pegged the shared view that many of u.s.a. who have had to do business organization there, share. Regardless of where you at from in the earth, this is great book for understanding why true Southerners think the manner they do. Deo Vindice forever and God relieve the Southward!
What other book might yous compare The Politically Incorrect Guide to the South (and Why it Volition Rise Once more) to and why?
The South Was Right and some of the short essays from Dr. Loma'southward library on Gold Circle culture.
Which grapheme – equally performed past Dianna Dorman – was your favorite?
She'south good - a picayune metered, but easy to listen to and I enjoy her vocal style.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
"The Lost Crusade - that once was Lost, just now is Institute"
Whatsoever additional comments?
Brilliant book - splendid

Tubby Bearded Guy reference earned an extra star
I have to exist careful when writing this review because Clint Johnson was a friend and classmate of mine at the Academy of Florida. Equally a fan of mystery/thrillers I found this book a piffling difficult to become through at times. Merely I did learn some interesting stuff. I didn't know Lincoln tried to recolonize slaves to other countries afterwards the war. I didn't know the Emancipation Proclamation primarily freed slaves only in Confederate States. I learned I can now refer to Clint as a TBG (Tubby Bearded Guy) considering he participates in Ceremonious War reenactments. At times the book seemed somewhat anecdotal but knowing how tediously Clint researches his material I feel confident that it is fact based. I got somewhat of an eerie feeling knowing that the ultra left has kicked up its attempt to rewrite history since this book was written a decade ago. Clint was very prescient in having a feel of what was to come up in this area. I could have washed without the two or 3 seemingly interminable listings of colleges and universities that were ranked highly and located in the Southward. Lists generally do not were well in audio books. I also grew a bit weary of hearing nearly books and movies I'chiliad not supposed to read or sentry without really knowing why. Presumably they cast the South in a more positive light that you might expect (or the North in a less positive one). If I was a Southern history buff, this volume would accept generated five stars. One last caution. A book you're not supposed to read: "The Politically Incorrect Guide to the South (and Why it Will Rising Again), written by Clint Johnson, release date:01-eleven-07, Publisher: Blackstone Audio, Inc.

big lie lives on.
sad. very sad. if a poor reader believes this hogwash... 1 is to believe that the quondam southward was fabricated america. that the old south was a pleasant fourth dimension and place. nevermind slaves and the evil done. nevermind that southern conferate states constitutions stated slavery forever. the s could have ended slavery simply chose to battle, die for it. they got what they deserved equally God stood with the north, not with the southward.

Could not arrive pass the first 2 chapter
I'g not a fan how the volume starts out. I thought it would take more than facts rather opinions on why the south is so cracking. I alive in the south I love the south and I agree that information technology is great. Still, statements should have more facts to support them. Like I said I did not make it pass the first two chapters. So many it gets amend only not for me.

I'thou from the northward
I'thousand from the north and growing upwards learning almost slavery in Massachusetts was a anarchism and I knew it wasn't correct so I did a little searching and decided to look at another point of view and got a lot of answers that were for the near part very similiar to what I thought. Great Book!
